Architecture isn’t just about solving problems. It’s about giving form to the relationship between people and place.
Every project’s story is unique because every family and every place are unique. My work begins by understanding both, and discovering the relationship between them.
These are some of the places where that conversation became architecture.
Artist Studio, Vermont
The challenge wasn’t simply adding space. It was creating a place where making art felt natural. The existing landscape. The changing light. Quiet. Every decision was shaped by the experience of working there - not simply dimensions of the room.
Modern Barn, Craftsbury, Vermont
Rather than imposing a design on the site, we listened. To the topography, the views, the sunlight, and the working landscape. The result is a home that feels as though it has always belonged there.
Snapdragon Farm, Waitsfield, Vermont
The farm already had decades of memories. The new home needed to honor that history while creating space for new traditions. Morning light, views across the fields, porches that invited connecting, a kitchen that naturally became the heart of the house. The design didn’t start with square footage. It began by understanding the family and the place they loved.
