begin your clarity conversation
every meaningful project begins with clarity.
Before we talk about floor plans, materials, or square footage, we begin somewhere else.
With the life you’re drawn to build.
Most people come looking for an architect because they believe they need more space. A renovation. An addition. A new home.
Often that’s true.
But before we design anything, I want to understand something much more important.
How do you want your life to change?
That question shapes every decision that follows.
What is a Clarity Conversation?
The Clarity Conversation is the first step in working together.
Rather than jumping directly into design, we take the time to understand your goals, your property, your priorities, and the life you’re hoping your home will support.
By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your project and a thoughtful roadmap for moving forward—whether we continue working together or not.
What to Expect
1. Initial Conversation
Up to 60 minute Zoom meeting
We’ll get to know one another and talk about your project, your goals, and the questions you’re trying to answer.
This conversation helps us understand not only what you’re planning to build, but why.
2. Site Visit
Up to 60 minutes
We’ll walk your property together.
We’ll explore the opportunities, constraints, sunlight, views, circulation, existing conditions, and the qualities that make your place unique.
Some of the best ideas emerge while simply walking the land together.
3. Your Pre-Design Clarity Report™
Up to 60 minutes
Following our conversations, I’ll prepare a personalized report that summarizes our work together.
It typically includes:
Your goals and priorities
Opportunities unique to your property
Constraints to consider
Design direction
Questions worth exploring
Recommended next steps
Whether or not we continue working together, you’ll leave with greater clarity and confidence.
